Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup white Karo syrup
Mix these two ingredients together in a pan on the stove. Bring to a soft ball stage (use candy thermometer)
Add:
1/2 lb. raw peanuts
Cook until golden brown, stirring constantly
Add:
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Stir and pour onto buttered cookie-sheet sized pan.

Let cool, then break into chunks. Store in air-tight container.

Can use pecans rather than peanuts.
