3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn oil margarine
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsps baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup water
1 tsp grated lemon peel
4 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup light corn syrup

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 3 small loaf pans. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed beat sugar and margarine until light. Beat in eggs. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until well mixed. Add water, lemon peel, and 2 tbsp of the lemon jiuce. Stir in nuts and pour into pans. Bake for 40 minutes. Combine corn syrup and remaining lemon juice and pour over loaves. Bake for 5 minutes more. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans.
