1 pound brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Boil to hard ball stage. Pour over popped corn (6 to 8 quarts) and stir until popcorn is well covered. Form into balls if desired. Eat same day. Takes about 30 minutes.
