1 French bread loaf
1 qt.. half & half
2 T. butter, room temperature
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 T. almond extract
3/4 c. golden raisins
3/4 c. sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Break bread into small pieces. Place in a medium bowl and cover with half and half. Cover bowl and let stand for 1 hr. Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter. In a small bowl, beat eggs together with sugar and almond extract. Stir into bread mixture. Gently fold in raisins and almonds into bread mixture. Spread bread mixture into baking dish and set on middle rack of oven and bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve with desired sauce (see Dessert Sauces).
