2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1/2 c flour 1 stick of soften butter 3 T red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all four ingredients with hands until moist. You can either drop the mix by 2 oz. scoop or use a presto cookie gun to make long flat pieces. Sprinkle more red pepper on top of cookies. Bake straws on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 until brown.

Adjust the red pepper according to your taste of hot foods. Instead of shredding the cheese, I buy the bags already shredded. You can also change the cheese to the mild kind. Someone suggested warming the crackers up for a few seconds in the microwave.
