* tbsp butter, melted, divided, 2 pkgs ( 1 lb 4 ounce ea refrigerated hash browns, divided, 1 tbsp dried thyme divided, 1 1/4 salt, divided, 1/2 tsp pepper, divided

Directions:
Position oven rack 2" to 4"from heat source. Preheat broiler. In ovenproof skillet over medium high heat swirl 2 tbsp butter over sides and bottom. Add 1/3 potatoes, sprinkle with 1/3 seasonings. Flatten potatoes with spatula, drizzle 2 tbsp butter. Top with 1/3 of potatoes, flatten with spatula and sprinkle again. Drizzle again. Top with remaining potatoes. Sprinkle with remaining spices, drizzle with remaining butter. Cover, cook owned about six minutes. Uncover, put in broiler. Broil until top of potatoes are crispy. 3 - 4 minutes Invert pan over platter and serve.
