3 cups bisquick
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
3/4 cup chopped nuts.

Directions:

Mix and pour into two small or one large bread pan (greased).
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.

An alternative:

2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1 8-oz. Bottle maraschino cherries
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup nuts, chopped

Beat 2 eggs light and fluffy. Add 1 cup sugar and juice of one 8-oz. Bottle of maraschino cherries. Sift together: 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. Fold in cut-up cherries and 1 cup nuts. Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Use greased loaf pan.
