2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 cup margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup seedless raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease & flour a 7x11" baking pan. Combine sugar, flour & margarine.& mix with hands until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside 3/4 of this mixture for the topping. To the remaining flour mixture,add cinnamon, cloves,baking soda & salt. Lightly stir in the buttermilk & egg. Fold in raisins. Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle cake with reserved topping. Bake for 25 min. or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
