6 slices bacon, diced
1 onion, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
2 medium carrots, diced
1/2 red pepper, diced
3 large potatoes, diced
5 cups chicken broth
thyme sprigs
2 tin corn
1 tin creamed corn
2 tbsp flour
3 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
salt and pepper
1/2 cup cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon in large saucepan. Add onion, celery, carrot and red pepper and saute 10 minutes. Stir together flour, chili powder, paprika and salt and pepper. Add to sauce pan and stir until thoroughly mixed through. Add potato, thyme and chicken broth. Simmer until potatoes are cooked. Add corn and creamed corn.

Puree soup in a blender.

Return to saucepan and add cream if desired. Heat gently until warmed through.
