16 slices white bread, crusts removed
8 slices bacon or ham
8 slices sharp cheddar cheese
6 eggs
fresh ground pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 cup diced green onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 cups milk
dash Tabasco
1/2 cup butter
Panko or bread crumbs

Directions:

Set 8 pieces of bread into a 9" x 13" buttered baking dish. Cover bread slices with bacon or ham. Lay cheddar slices on top and then cover with remaining slices of bread to make it like a sandwich.

In a bowl, beat eggs, salt and pepper, mustard, onion, green pepper, Worcestershire sauce, milk and Tabasco. Pour over casserole, cover and place in fridge over night. In morning, melt butter, pour over top. Sprinkle with panko or breadcrumbs. Bake, uncovered 1 hour at 350º. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
