1 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
1 Cup Quick Oats
1 Cube butter
2 Eggs
1 Tsp vanilla
1 Tsp baking soda
1 Tbl cinnamon
1 Large or 2 small Granny Smith Apples peeled and chopped
1 Tsp Salt
1 1/2 Cups flour1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350º
Combine oats and butter in a bowl pour 1 1/2 Cups BOILING WATER over them (set aside until butter is melted)

Mix by hand 2 beaten eggs, vanilla,soda,cinnamon,sugars, saltflour and then fold in apples. Pour into a greased 9X13X2 baking dish bake 45-50 min until done, remove from oven.

Icing
8 Tbl butter
1 1/2 Cup coconut
1 1/2 Chopped walnuts
1/2 Cup evaporated milk
Bring all to a boil and boil hard 3-4 min.
Spread over cake and then place under a broiler and toast if you have a kitchen torch use that.
