5 T unsalted butter
4 small sweet onions, thinly sliced
1 large white cabbage, shredded (14 cups)
1 T paprika or to taste
5 c chicken broth
1 can (8-ounce) tomato sauce
1 tsp. caraway seed
Garlic powder to taste
1 T salt, or to taste
Pepper to taste
2 T fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 3 T butter; add onions and sauté until tender.

Add remaining butter and cabbage and cook 20 minutes. Stir in paprika and cook 1 minute. Add broth, tomato sauce, caraway seed, garlic powder, salt and pepper and heat through. Add lemon juice just before serving.

May add cut-up pieces of ham or pork if desired.
