1 cup milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 egg
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup (approximate) white flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat together to lukewarm first 4 ingredients. Soften yeast in lukewarm water and add to milk mixture. Beat in egg, add white and whole wheat flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise 1 1/2 hour in warm place. Shape into rolls and let rise. Bake at 350º ten to 15 minutes.
