6 tbsp butter
1 tbsp minced onion or 1/4 c raw onion
1/2 c flour
2 14 oz cans chicken broth
2 cups cooked wild rice (can be canned)
1/3 c minced ham or chicken
1/2 c grated carrots
3 tbsp chopped slivered almonds
1 c half & half
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 6 tbsp of butter. Saute onion. Add flour. Gradually add chicken broth. Cook, stirring constantly until boils. Boil 1 minute.
Stir in: cooked wild rice, ham or chicken or other desired meat, carrots almonds and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add half & half.
***can double or triple this recipe. (I usually double)
