12 or so lbs. pork spare ribs
Olive oil
1 whole garlic bulb[minced]
4 tsp. salt
12 cups water
7 cups sugar
1 cup molasses
2/3 cup soya sauce
about 1 cup cornstarch dissolved in small amt. water

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, heat oil; saute garlic until fragrant. Add salt, water, sugar & soya sauce. Bring to boil & cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. I thicken more, with the cornstarch mix. Cover ribs with water & boil for 1 hour. Drain & place in large roast pan. Pour sauce over ribs & bake at 350º for 1 hour stirring about half way through & checking to add more water if necessary.
