2 tbsp butter
3/4 C sugar
30 pecan halves
1/3 C brown sugar
6 C sliced apples
2 tbsp flour
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp nutmeg
2 pie shells

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450*
Line pie pan with foil circle leaving at least 1 inch overhang. Spread 2 tbsp soft butter all over foil. Press 30 pecan halves in butter. Pat 1/3 C brown sugar into butter. Using 1 pie crust, fit into pie pan. Mix together apples, sugar, flour & spices. Pile into crust and cover with top crust. Seal edges well. Cut slit in top of crust and brush with butter if desired. Bake 40 minutes or till done. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes, then invert onto serving plate. Serve warm or cold.
