3-4 lbs. chuck roast (I used arm or shoulder and it was less fatty but still tender)
2 c. water
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 t. dried rosemary
1 t. dried thyme
1 t. garlic powder
1 bay leaf
3-4 peppercorns
8 French rolls

Directions:
Place beef and other ingredients in crockpot. Cook on high 5-6 hrs or high for 1 hr and low an additional 8. Remove meat. Strain broth and remove excess fat. Add one pkg of au jus and mix according to pkg instructions. Slice or shred meat and put back in pot. Split rolls and toast. Serve beef on rolls, dip in individual bowls.
