2 1/2 sq unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and shortening over low heat. Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar gradually. Add chocolate mixture. Sift flour, baking powder and salt, reserving a little flour to sprinkle with nuts. Add flour mixture to batter. Add vanilla and lightly floured nuts and fold together carefully. Bake in 8 inch square pan for 30 minutes at 325º. Remove from oven but leave in pan for 5 minutes
