2-1/2 cup sifted cake flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2/3 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar - packed
1 cup sour milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients, brown sugar and milk and beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 1 minute. Pour into paper lined pans or greased and flour cake pans. Bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes for 3 8-inch pans or 25-30 minutes for 2 9-inch pans.
