3 cups sifter flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped chocolate chips

1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 T vegetable shortening
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 T water
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven 375º
Sift together:
3 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
Blend 1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Add flour & 1/2 cup milk & 1/2 cup chopped chocolate chips
Shape in 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets & make a thumb print depression in the middle of each cookie.
Bake 375 º 10-12 minutes
While warm roll several times in powdered sugar. Cool.

Combine over hot water 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, 2 T vegetable shortening. Remove from water and add 1/4 cup light corn syrup & 2 T. water & 2 tsp vanilla. Fill depressions in cookies.
