1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 pkg. active dry yeast
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter flavored shortening (Crisco)
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the milk, crisco, sugar, & salt. Cool until lukewarm and add the yeast. Stir well, then add the eggs, followed by the flour. Mix until dough is soft. Place into a greased bowl and cover. Let rise for about one hour. Divide the dough into quarters (4 equal parts). Roll each into 12" circles. Cut each circle into six 8" pie shaped (wedge) pieces. Roll up from the larger end first. After all are rolled, brush with the melted crisco. Let rise again for one hour. Then bake at 400º until golden brown.
