2 c. apples, chopped
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples and sugar, mix well. Beat egg slightly and add to apple mixture. Add melted butter and mix well. Sift together flour, spices and baking powder, add a little at a time to apple mixture mixing until well blended. Pour batter into a greased and floured 8"X8"x2" pan. Mix together brown sugar and nuts sprinkle on top of batter. Bake in a preheated 375º oven for 45 minutes or until firm to the touch. (Delicious)
