7-8 lbs. cucumbers
2 c. pickling lime
2 gals. water

2 tbsp. salt
2 qts. white vinegar
9 c. sugar
1 whole clove
1 1/2 stick cinnamon
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours. Rinse well. Cover with fresh cold water and soak for 3 hours. Drain and add vinegar solution. Set overnight. Boil pickles in syrup for 35 minutes. Add green cake coloring if desired. Seal in jars.
