1 cup margarine, softened
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 box of yellow cake mix, divided in half
3 Tablespoons Kentucky Makers Mark Bourbon
3 cups Quick cooking Oats
1 cup chopped nuts *optional

Directions:

Cream together margarine and sugar in a med to large mixing bowl
Add egg, water, 1/2 package of the cake mix, bourbon, oats and *nuts.

Drop by teaspoonful on un-greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes. Do not over bake - bake for
Only 10 minutes, the cookies wont look like they are done,
but they will harden as they cool.

cool slightly before removing cookies from baking sheet.
Place the other half of the cake mix in a storage bag and seal.

This recipe originated back when cake mixes first became readily available. It was in the middle to late 1940's that Duncan Hines began marketing boxes of dry cake mixes. You will be making another batch sooner than you think !
