1 lb. Walla Walla sweet onions, sliced and separated into rings
1 c. buttermilk
1 T. corn starch
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. shredded cheese
paprika

Directions:
Directions:
In medium pan combine onions with water to cover. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Drain well. Transfer to a 8" square baking pan sprayed with Pam. In bowl, combine buttermilk and corn starch and stir until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Mix in egg whites, salt and pepper, pour over onions. Sprinkle with cheese, then paprika. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.
