Ingredients:  
1 1/2 lbs sliced Vidalia onions, separated into rings
1 C whipping cream
1 large egg
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 C shredded sharp cheddar
1/2 tsp paprika

Directions:
Directions:
Precook onions, then place in greased casserole. mix together next 3 ingredients and pour over the onions. sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake 350º for 25 minutes.

Other sweet onions may be used in place of Vidalias, but don't use regular onions.
