1 1/4 cups Sugar
2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 cups milk
3 eggs separated
2 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
Vanilla wafers
Bananas

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar flour, 1/2 c. Milk, and salt. Mix well and add egg yolks. Add the rest of milk and mix well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly to avoid sticking. When thick remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Alternate vanilla wafers, bananas, and custard mix making 2 layers. To make meringue topping beat 3 egg whites on high gradually adding 6 tbs. of sugar, and 1/2 tsp. of salt until egg whites are stiff. Spread on top of pudding and bake at 325º until brown.
