1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 c. margarine
2 T. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1 (10.5 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 c. sour cream
2 c. noodles, cooked & hot

Directions:
In a large skillet, cook and stir ground beef and onion in margarine until onion is tender and beef is no longer pink. Stir in flour, salt, garlic powder and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in soup, return to heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream, heat through. Serve over hot noodles.

This came out of my 1970 Betty Crocker cookbook, which was a wedding present. It is excellent and has stood the test of time! You can substitute fresh mushrooms and garlic if you want.
