1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup milk

1 cup instant potatoes dry
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the egg and egg yolk with the 1 cup milk.
Add the instant potatoes and 1 cup flour, BP and salt.

Form into dumpling shape (balls and then long) Boil 5 minutes in boiling salted water. Test by cutting one open to see if cooked all the way through.

Dave King has been on a search for Gram Scherrebeck's Potato Dumplings Recipe. This is very close. Gram would make the dumplings with real mashed potatoes and then reheat the dumplings in the meat juices after roasting a pork roast in the enameled graniteware pans that she used.
