2 cups milk
1/2 pound ground poppyseed

1/2 cup sugar
2 vanilla wafers finely ground
2 T butter
vanilla to taste
1/2 tsp ground cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Bring 2 cups milk to boil in saucepan, Add 1/2 pound ground poppyseed. Cook gently til milk has been soaked up by the poppyseed. Let cool. When cool add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Refrigerate.
Let sit out to room temperature before putting into made up Kolache dough.
When using, if filling should seem too thick add a bit of milk. IF it seems too runny-add more vanilla wafers to get right consistency.
