1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
dash of salt
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. butter
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 c. lemon juice
drop of yellow food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, corn starch and salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in water. Cook, while stirring constantly, until it thickens and boils. Blend in butter, grated lemon peel, lemon juice and a drop of yellow food coloring, Cool thoroughly before spreading between cake layers.
