unopened can(s) of sweetened condensed milk

Directions:
Place unopened can(s) of sweetened condensed milk in a pot. (I use a soup pot), Fill with enough water to cover at least an inch over the can(s). Boil for 4 hours, adding hot water as needed. Let can(s) cool. Open with can opener, and use as dip, ice cream sauce, etc.

Makes great presents! Really yummy with apple slices, or added in hot chocolate or coffee. I place narrow canning jar rims in the bottom of the soup pot and then place the canned milk on top of those. Can put a rack on the bottom instead.
