- 8 Small-Pink Lady Apples
- 1 stick butter

- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- cinnamon to taste

1 tbsp orange zest
1/2 cup water
1 cup apple juice

Directions:

Core apples with 8 slice apple corer, leave skin on apples
Melt butter in large (14") fry pan on stove top (medium heat)

Add apples to melted butter and saute' apples until they change to a slightly darker color. Apples should still be firm but not mushy.

Mix the sugar, corn starch and cinnamon in a separate bowl and set aside.

Mix apple juice, water and orange zest in a separate bowl and set aside.

After the apples are sautéed, add the sugar, corn starch and cinnamon, and mix with apples and butter until all of the apples are coated with the mixture.

Add the water, apple juice and orange zest and simmer until the liquid thickens.

Put some in a small bowl and enjoy

I usually put the cooked apples in a rubbermaid container and store in the refrigerator until I ready to eat them. I put 6 slices in a small bowl and microwave on high for 60 secs.
