sugar, milk, dates, vanilla, butter, chopped nuts

2c sugar
½ c milk
bring to boil and add
1c chopped dates- firmly packed
bring to soft ball 238

remove and add
1t vanilla
1t butter
1c chopped nuts
beat until stiff
pour on wax or plastic and roll. Chill (cool) and slice.
