1 (3 to 4lb) unseasoned corned beef brisket
1 ½ tsp peppercorns
¾ tsp celery seed
¾ tsp mustard seed
2 whole chili peppers
5 garlic cloves, halved
1 onion, halved
3 to 4 can beer
2 bay leaves
½ tsp cracked chilies
20 whole cloves
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place unseasoned brisket in large pot. Add spices. Cover with beer and water (half and half is good but if you just short add more water).
Add garlic, onion and celery. Bring just to boil and simmer, covered, for 1 hour per pound minimum.
Remove brisket to 9x13 inch Pyrex. Drain juice of spices and veggies. Return juice to stove and add cabbage, quartered, new potatoes and carrots. Cook until tender (20 to 30 min). Spread top of meat with mustard. Cover with foil. Place in warm (200 degree) oven while veggies cook. Drain veggies and place around brisket from serving.
