4 c. water
4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. instant coffee
1 qt. vodka

Boil water and sugar in a saucepan for 10-15 minutes. Add vanilla and coffee, stirring well. Remove from heat and add 1 qt. vodka, let cool and pour into bottles.

This was one of mom's drink recipes that I have made for quite a few years. My family likes it better than store bought!!
My favorite drink with Kahlua is a Smith and Kerns. Put ice in the bottom of your glass, add a shot of Kahlua, some half and half and then add club soda. Stir and enjoy :) Or you can use coke instead of the club soda. I also like just the Kahlua with half and half without any carbonation.
