"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups of chopped chicken
2 onions
2-3 cloves of minced garlic
olive oil.
1.5-2 quarts of chicken stock (I use homemade stock and so I end up adding a little sea salt at this point),
2 cans garbanzo beans, drained (I use dried beans that have been soaked overnight),
2 cans diced tomatoes,
3 cups of corn (frozen, fresh or canned is fine as long as it is NOT sweet corn)
1 cup green taco sauce (I like to make my own and keep it in the freezer for this recipe, but you can use any bottled taco sauce or green salsa that you like)

garlic salt
white pepper
cayenne pepper
fresh cilantro
sour cream
crunched tortilla chips
cheese
avocado
lime juice

When chicken is browned, add 1.5-2 quarts of chicken stock (I use homemade stock and so I end up adding a little sea salt at this point), 2 cans garbanzo beans, drained (I use dried beans that have been soaked overnight), 2 cans diced tomatoes, 3 cups of corn (frozen, fresh or canned is fine as long as it is NOT sweet corn) and 1 cup green taco sauce (I like to make my own and keep it in the freezer for this recipe, but you can use any bottled taco sauce or green salsa that you like). Season with garlic salt, white pepper, cayenne pepper and fresh cilantro. Garnish each bowl of soup with sour cream, crunched tortilla chips, fresh cilantro, cheese, avocado and lime juice
