1/2 cup marg. or butter melted
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts ( I use walnuts)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass dish)
In 13"x9" baking dish melt margarine (works great sticking pan in oven to melt the butter)take pan out of oven,sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over margarine. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs.Add a layer of chocolate chips, then a layer of coconut followed by the layer of nuts,press down firmly .
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.Chill and let set before cutting.Makes 36 bars. store loosely covered .

I have found that mixing the melted margarine and g. c. crumbs together first, THEN packing the mixture in the bottom of pan works better for me. The crumb crust seems to stay together better when cut.
