½ cup peanut butter
1/3 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cup sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°. Cream peanut butter, shortening and vanilla. Add brown sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beating well; sift dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fill muffin tins ½ full. Bake just over 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted is clean.

Frost with peanut butter or maple frosting (very good).
