1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon
1 med onion, thinly sliced
1/4 c chopped green pepper
3/4 c uncooked regular long grain rice
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 c catsup
16 oz can tomatoes, undrained, cut up
8 oz can tomato sauce
2 drops hot sauce

In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain well. Remove meat from skillet and set aside. In same skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon; drain, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon; set aside. Saute green pepper and onion in reserved drippings until crisp-tender. Stir in ground beef, crumbled bacon, and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 30-40 minutes or until rice is tender.
