2/3 c margarine, 1 c sugar, 10 oz jar jam, 3 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c flour, 1 tsp. salt, 3/4 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. ground allspice, 1/2 c buttermilk.

Icing:
1/4 c brown sugar - packed, 2 T oleo, 8 tsp milk, 2 c powdered sugar.

Directions:

Cream margarine & sugar until light & fluffy. Blend in jam, eggs, & vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Mixing after each addition. Pour into greased & flour lined layer pans. Bake at 325º until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes & remove from pans.

Icing: Combine sugar oleo & milk in sauce pan. Heat until sugar dissolves. Stirring constantly. Gradually add powered sugar.
