1 1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 1/2 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
3 tbsp. Cream
1 1/2 tbsp. Orange Rind (or tangerine or Clementine rind)
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
3/4 tsp. Baking Soda
3/4 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
4 1/2 cups Flour, sifted

Frosting
1 lb. box Confectioner's Sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
3-4 tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla

Preheat Oven to 400º

Cookies
Cream butter and then gradually add sugar - cream well. Blend in eggs, cream, orange rind, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Mix well.
Separate dough in to several balls and Chill.
Roll-out dough on floured surface to about 1/8 inch.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until golden.

Frosting
Cream butter, add sugar and other ingredients. Depending on what color frosting you want to use, add a drop or two of food coloring.
Spread on cookies

Let iced cookies dry for a few hours or overnight.
Store in tightly closed containers.

Holly leaf cookie cutters make a great cookie. Use green icing and add 3 red hot candies as the berries.

Cookies burn easily so must be watched when baking.
