1 C. sugar
2 sticks margarine
2 eggs
1 C. molasses
5 to 6 C. flour ( I use 5 3/4 C. flour)
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cream of tarter
4 tsp. soda
1 tbsp. ginger
1 C. buttermilk

Frosting:
2/3 C. sugar
2 tsp. vinegar
18 lrg marshmallow
3/4 C. water
3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 C. powdered sugar


Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar, margarine, eggs and molasses.

Measure flour, salt, cinnamon, cream of tarter, soda and ginger. Add to the 1st mixture alternating with buttermilk. Mix well.

Let chill several hours.
Roll out to 1/8 thickness and cut with spam can.

Bake at 375º for about 10 minutes or tell brown.
Do not overbake
Frost when cooled

Frosting:
Mix together in double broiler sugar, vinegar, marshmallows and water. Heat until marshmallows are melted, then add egg whites and beat with mixer 1 minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla and powder sugar. Frost and cool.
