7 c. berries (any kind-- can be one of a kind or a combination)
7 c. sugar
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Mix the fruit, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Boil until it starts getting thick-- about 5 minutes. Let it cool before serving. Store in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

This is really going to get frothy when it boils, so make sure your pan is quite tall. You can make this lots of different ways. If you want it chunkier, then put in whole or sliced berries. For the syrup at the Christmas party, I pureed the berries in the blender. If you want it seedless and pulpless, you will probably want to use a juicer and strain the juice a couple of times. This can be easily processed in a hot water bath for 20 minutes if you want to preserve it.
