1 cup soft shortening
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup ground nuts (walnuts)
1 2/3 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, nuts and vanilla together.
Sift flour and salt together then mix with shortening mixture.
Chill dough
Roll into pencil thick rolls. Cut into 2 1/2" lengths.
Place on un-greased baking sheets in form of crescents.
Bake at 325º until set....not brown. About 14 - 16 minutes
While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar and cinnamon.
