6 SLICES BACON
4 MEDIUM POTATOES, CUT NOT 1/4" CHUNKS
1/2 CUP ONION, DICED
1 1/2 TSP MINCED GARLIC
3 CUPS CHICKEN BROTH
1 CUPS WATER
1 CARTON CREAM
2 CUPS KALE LEAVES, CUT IN HALF, THEN SLICED (OPTIONAL)

COOK ITALIAN SAUSAGE AT 300º UNTIL DONE, ABOUT 25 MINUTES. CUT IN HALF LENGTH-WISE THEN SLICE INTO 1/2 INCH SLICES. COOK ONIONS AND BACON IN LARGE SAUCE PAN UNTIL ONIONS ARE CLEAR. ADD GARLIC AND COOK 1 MINUTE MORE. ADD CHICKEN BROTH, WATER AND POTATOES AND SIMMER 15 MINUTES. ADD BACON, SAUSAGE, KALE AND CREAM. SIMMER 10 MORE MINUTES.

YOU CAN USE MORE MEAT AND POTATOES IF YOU WANT TO. ALSO, I USE HALF AND HALF INSTEAD OF CREAM. YOU CAN FIND FAT FREE HALF AND HALF AND IT'S GOOD, TOO. I LEAVE OUT THE KALE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT A BUNCH OF KALE LEFTOVER. IT'S NOT MISSED.
