8 slides of day-old bread
2 eggs, well beaten
¼ tsp salt
1-1/4 cup milk
2 TBLS butter

Directions:

Beat 2 eggs. Add ¼ tsp salt and 1-1/4 cup milk. Beat

Heat heavy skillet and melt some fat in it

Dip 2 or 3 slides of bread into egg mixture and put them in the skillet to cook. When slides are golden brown, turn them and continue to cook. Add more fat when necessary.
