Directions:Combine flour and baking powder in bowl. In a separate bowl, mix egg, margarine, sugar, & vanilla. Then combine this mixture with the flour and baking powder. Mix together and add additional flour, as necessary, for proper consistency (not too wet to roll out...it should not stick to your hands). Roll out to desired thickness for cookies on floured surface. Cut into your favorite shapes and bake on greased cookie sheet at 325º for 12-15 minutes, until lightly brown around edges. Keep a good eye on them.
To ice cookies: Combine powdered sugar and milk to desired consistency for decorating. Add your favorite food coloring. |

Notes: Becky says: "I am submitting this recipe in memory of my dear mother. Her cookies were the best and we had great times making them."
Lynda says, on the back of her recipe: "Have fun and enjoy the decorating. Do not double recipe, as I have never had success in doing so. Mix with extra measures of love, and sing while you bake. It always makes them extra special. Don't forget to pray before each step of the process. Always give them in tissue lined boxes, covered with colorful wrapping. Give them in the love in Christ, and for his glory."
