2 c. sugar
1 c. lard
2 eggs
pinch of salt
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and crisco. Add eggs and salt. Add alternately, baking powder, baking soda, milk and vanilla.

Add flour to make stiff batter. Form into a loaf. Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs. Slice in about 1 inch slices. Bake at 375º for 10-12 min.
