1 1/4 taza de agua hirviendo
1 taza de copos de avena (si son demasiado grandes, se pueden reducir poniéndolos en el robot un segundo)
1/2 taza de mantequilla
1 taza de azúcar
1 taza de azúcar moreno (apelmazado)
2 huevos
1 1/2 taza de harina
1/2 cucharadita de bicarbonato
1/2 cucharadita de sal
2 cucharaditas de cacao

Cobertura:
6 cucharadas de mantequilla
1 taza de nueces picadas
1/2 taza de azúcar
1/4 taza de leche evaporada
1 taza de coco rallado
1 1/2 cucharadita de vainilla.

Directions:
Mezclar el agua, la avena y la mantequilla. Dejar reposar 20 minutos. Añadir los azúcares y los huevos. Por otra parte, tamizar la harina, el bicarbonato, la sal y el cacao y añadir después a la primera mezcla. Hornear durante 30 minutos a 175°.

Cobertura: Mezclar y extender sobre el pastel. Meter en el horno con el grill hasta que se dore ligeramente.
